The Origins of Betel VIZION

A Service for Israel

Betel VIZION began as a call from the heart, inspired by the biblical love for Israel and the desire to build a bridge between the nations and the Jewish people. The roots of this ministry lie in the deep conviction that Christians are called to stand up for Israel, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and to strengthen the historical and spiritual connections between Christianity and Judaism.

The beginnings

The story of Betel VIZION began when Raul and Meike Reyes, a German-Mexican couple, in their work with people suffering from addiction in Germany received a special revelation. While they worked with in their life support house, God began to open their hearts to Israel. They discovered how closely Christianity is connected with the Jewish people and their history.

The call for Israel

The breakthrough came when Raul and Meike were encouraged by a special experience to engage more intensively with Israel. Their first trip to Israel in 2003 laid the foundation for a growing commitment. Soon their church began to devote itself to prayer and practical support for Israel. It was not just a mission, but a matter of the heart, characterized by deep faith and a clear vision.

The prayer movement

Betel VIZION developed into a movement of prayer and intercession. Inspired by Psalm 122:6: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!” and other biblical promises, the team prays daily for Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people. This prayer initiative is the foundation of the ministry and reflects the conviction that the peace of Israel is of global importance.

A vision for the future

Betel VIZION strives to not only pray for Israel but also to actively build bridges. Their vision includes building a house in Jerusalem – a place where people from different nations meet God and rediscover the spiritual significance of Israel. This house is to be a center of reconciliation and blessing both for Israel and for visitors from all over the world.
